Demo: Available Now. Availability confirmed on the official store. Checked 2026-10-07 on the English Steam page, without signing in; the page reported region CN. It displayed “Free Demo” and “Install Demo” for app 5219790, opening the Steam client. Installation, account eligibility and other regions were not tested. Use the Demo button below the access record or follow official download steps.

What was announced?

The July 16 announcement introduced a Demo planned for October 6. On October 6, the publisher announced “Demo Available Now!” and linked its independent Steam app. The store describes a dedicated questline around a remote settlement and nearby islands, explored on land and by trawler. The sections below distinguish the July feature plan from launch-announcement updates; they are official descriptions, not a walkthrough.

Exploration and scavenging

The announced demo lets players search land and water for supplies, retrieve drifting cargo with a Grappling Hook Gun, pick locked containers and solve puzzles. A ship’s radio is described as a way to uncover destinations. Cabinets, crates, floating debris and abandoned containers are also mentioned as resource sources. Specific routes and guaranteed item drops still need versioned observation.

Fishing, processing and trade

The feature list includes peaceful and predatory fish, processing catches into materials, trading fish and salvaged resources, and workbench crafting for lures and tackle. A Fishing Skill Tree is named for unlocking upgrades. Read the fishing guide and trading overview for the relationship between these systems; neither page invents fish prices or skill costs.

The announced trawler features

The Ship Upgrade Skill Tree is described with Hull Armour Mk I, two engine options, a fish-storage upgrade and a roof-mounted lantern. The announcement also includes refuelling at gas stations or with recovered cans, repairing damage, removing Sea-Blight polyps and resting to pass time. The boat guide distinguishes these vessel features from the tools carried by the player.

How is the demo different from the playtest?

The September 10–14 open playtest was a time-limited, English-only test. The October launch announcement describes a public Demo with localized text and English and Russian voice acting. It separately warns returning testers against continuing old saves because of possible bugs or crashes, and asks them to start a new game. Consult the current official announcement before changing any saved files; this guide has not tested save migration.
